What is Not Your Mamas Approved?

Not Your Mama's Approved is our way of telling you what optics we and our customers like most.  Each optic is individually rated using our rating system, which is based on the Five Rules for Awesome Optics listed below.  These are the areas that we consider to be the most important for an optic.  We carry a lot of optics and this is our way of saying this one is definitely Not Your Mama's Optic.

1. Durability and Ruggedness - The optic must be able to handle more than every day use.  That means that whether you are off to war or out on a shooting range the optic will hold up to the abuse.  This is more than wear and tear this is real life.

2. Quality of Materials - We are optic snobs and so are many of our customers and that causes us to analyze the materials used to build the optic with great scrutiny.  

3. Workmanship - Whether the optic is made in the USA or somewhere in Asia we expect every optic to be of the highest quality. We don't care how you make it we just want to make sure that you made it right.

4. Customer Feedback - We sell a ton of optics and receive a lot of feedback from our customers.  We want you to all benefit from each other so when we get a lot of feedback saying that an optic is great, well then we add it to our list.  No one knows more about how great an optic is as the everyday user and our customers are out there using these optics every day.

5. Just to Cool to Ignore - Every once in a while we get an optic that is flat out awesome and has to be added.  Sometimes we get an optic that has a certain sense of nostalgia and is time proven.  Though it may not be a hot item anymore it has proven the test of time and for an optic, that is the greatest test and most important piece of criteria for our tests.
